J Zano has been DJing for years. His sets lean on polyrhythmic grooves, deep low-end, nostalgic dance sounds, and modern EDM — layered percussion built to move a floor, shaped by whatever room he's playing. He listens to the crowd and builds from there, so the set belongs to that night.

He also performs original live electronic music on modular synthesizers, drum machines, and specialty hardware, drawing from Detroit techno, early hip hop, and classic sci-fi scores. He plays to audiences of electronic music aficionados, including six sets at Three Wave Music.

The painting carries the same energy as the music — acrylics and oils, bold and intuitive. An astronaut reaching for a giant donut floating in space. Cosmic nebulae framing earthly landscapes. Portraits rendered with honesty. Commissioned work hangs in homes across the region.
